I arrived in Trujillo today from Lima after a 10 hour bus ride. The bus was swanky, and they played some dubbed movies. The scenery was spectacularly desolate though. The sky was gray, the ocean was gray, there were gray rocks and cliffs, and for some stretches there wasn't a single plant in sight. I'm glad The Notebook was playing to keep my spirits up.
I really enjoyed Lima, especially the club Sargento Pimienta (Sgt. Pepper) that played so much loud rock that my ears are still ringing. None of the Limans knew any of the songs, but there was good enthusiasm all around.
The Bruce setup seems good, and the people are all nice, as far as I can tell. They didn't try to steal our kidneys, so that's a big plus. We start teaching tomorrow.
SO are you going to be a nice teacher or a mean teacher?

He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
The Bronco is dead, and its owner so far away as to never bother us again. Will the good news never cease?
