Introduction

On Wednesday I am leaving for Lima via San Francisco and San Salvador. I have never visited any of these places. The excitement of impending new experiences has been tempered by the fact that for the first 36 hours, these new experiences will take place in airports. I'm still fairly excited, though.

I'm writing a blog because it's easier than emailing everyone who has asked for updates, and also because I have no secrets from anyone who might read this. Or, I have the same secrets I want to keep from everyone who might read this. I have a limited stock of secrets! I can't make one for each of you!

I am very self-satisfied about the title. It's a statement (Brian's In Peru), it sounds like a special episode of a buddy cop series (Brians...in Peru!), and the web address is positively scandalous, if a little confusing (BrianSinPeru).
